Letter to the Grade 4s of 2020

Dear Grade 4s of 2020
Welcome to the Senior Primary. Looking back at the years i'v been here we have done so many incredible things such as outings, tasks, sports, galas, books by night, productions, athletics day and even sports tour .I'm coming to a end of being here and i'm going to miss it with all my heart.

Some tips for your years to come are:
Do you HOMEWORK
Be kind,
Have fun,
Take all the opportunities that come your way,
Come to school with a iPad and make sure it is charged,
Cooperate with your teachers they do so much for you

You should not be scared. All the teachers are so wonderful. They do so much for you even when you don't see it happen. I came in grade 5 and now i'm at the end of m grade 6 year but i know for sure that the grade 4 teachers are all equally wonderful.

 If you like sports you will sure to love sports day (athletics day)

My Superhero

flex Girl

in class we did an ILT in which we had to make a superhero or villain which was made out of Plasticine

my superhero is called flex girl because it is similar to her powerour character has super stretchy power and if she wraps around you you will turn into sandi love flex girls power because it is different and unique from other super hers or villains

her symbol is an F and we designed it to stand out from he rest of her body suite. The f stands for flex like in her name Flex Girl

We also made a super villain called Lego Man who was sneaking revenge.

Crazy Poetry

A few weeks ago we did an ILT on poetry.  Poetry is work that is full of expression of feelings and ideas which is given intensity by the way the poem is written or sounds. people write poetry because

you can write what you feel what you see. the point of poetry is to express what you see and feel. we did 6 tasks over the five ILT days .

task 1:terminology is when we had to research words and make a video clip explaining the words.

task 2:poetry writing is when you choose 3 different poems but write about the same topic.

task 3:black out poetry is when you take a page out of a book and make a poem with the words on that page and with a black permanent marker you black out the rest of the words.

task 4: poetry slam is when you make up a poem and the act it out.

task 5: is when you read a poem and you answer questions.

task 6: imagery a poem is when you choose a poem and you let it inspire you to draw a picture.

My favorite task in the ILT was the imagery because it was full of life and very fun and exciting.
My least favorite task in the ILT was the analysing a poembecause it was almost like doing a english comprhension in other words boring. The most challenging task in the ILT was the imagery because it was difficult for me tho get the picture perfect i had to keep rubing it out. When we preformed in front of the audience i felt scared and nervous that we were going to mess up. I learned that stanza means a group of lines forming a unint of a poem wich is a verse. I learned deep down that i love poetry. 

Quote For Life

In class we are reading the book Wonder where we learn about precepts. A precept is a quote that tells us how to live, so it guides you through life. It will courage you and help you remember what your goal is. It is a rule to live our lives. 

I have chosen this precept 

"To the world, you are one person .
but to one person, you may be the world" 

I think this precepts  means you might be small to a lot of people but to one person you are big. It dose not matter if you are wrong or small or big you are still a big part of someones life.
You belong to someone and they love and care about you.  

cyberbullying

Don't be a cyberbully because you are hurting  people and once you post you cant take it back. If you are being bullied block the person who's hurting you and talk to an adult. They only bully because they’ve been hurt or bullied. Use your voice and stand up for yourself.

My Draak

My draak se naam is Griffen. Hy is groen en blou. Griffen het horings, ‘n mond, wenkbrou, oë, ‘n magg, rug, stert bene, tone en naels. Die skerpste ding op lyf is sy naels. Hy rem enigiestin sy pad, groot of klien, dit maak nie saak nie. Hy het bloedrooi horings. Griffen eet so baie, dat hy ‘n groot maag het. Griffen het sneeuwit tande. Sy rug is so groen soos ‘n appel. Hy woonin die donker bos. Hy is die en igste een wat uitstaan. Griffen het woonderlike gehoor. Moenie vir hom probeer  bekruip nie. Hy sal jou ‘n myl ver weg hoor.
